Elevating scientists' transferable skills since 2012

Our vision is to empower academic researchers to tackle pressing scientific, technological and societal grand challenges in an ever-changing world.

To achieve this, our mission is to provide rigorously researched, and directly applicable and useful, trainings in transferable skills that are essential for researchers' careers, day-to-day work, and research success and impact.

We have continually developed these trainings since 2012 based on our broad consulting experience at Elevate Scientific - our parent company - alongside insights from neuroscience, psychology, narrative theory, political communications, and science and technology studies. 

Funding

We helped researchers, teams, and institutions secure more than 4.5 BEUR  in national, EU, and private funding.

Scientific editing

We helped hundreds of researchers develop and publish high-quality papers in the world's best journals.

Science communications

We helped develop diverse communications, including presentations for high-stakes interviews and hearings, press releases, vision papers, and major reports.

Peer review & editorial

We bring together our perspectives as authors, reviewers, and editors, with up-to-date insights into the most recent developments at the nexus of academia, publishing, funding, and society.

Meet our Education Director

Hi, I’m Dan, the Education Director and Founder of Elevate Scientific Academy and Elevate Scientific.

Before founding Elevate Scientific in 2012, I held editorial positions at Nature and Nature Physics, was a freelance science writer and journal editor, and was a scientist (I hold a PhD in physics from Lund University).

Over more than 25 years I've had the pleasure to work with many researchers, teams, and institutions across the world, and on many types of science communications, including original research papers, reviews, perspectives, commentaries, editorials, research highlights, news & views, press releases, large annual and evaluation reports, vision papers, high-stakes presentations, and many types of grants.

My ambition has been to turn this experience into rigorous, and directly applicable and useful, communications frameworks that enable researchers to plan, fund, disseminate, and communicate high-quality research to any target audience, effectively.

In that, I've striven to anchor everything I teach not only in my own experience, but also in insights from disparate academic fields and recent developments at the nexus of academia, policy, media, and society.
